Acoustics for Autism with insights from Scott Hayes
Acoustics for Autism is a free, all-day community concert in Uptown Maumee that raises money for Project iAM, a local nonprofit providing scholarships for therapy, equipment, and services for individuals with autism in Northwest Ohio.
In this episode, I talk with volunteer Scott Hayes about how the event works, what to expect, and why it matters to families — including many from Perrysburg who have supported and/or benefited from the fundraiser over the years.
We discuss the music lineup, sensory-friendly spaces, parking and shuttle options, silent auctions, fundraising efforts, and volunteer opportunities — including the need for cleanup volunteers at the end of the night.
If you’ve heard about Acoustics for Autism but weren’t sure what it’s like or how to get involved, this episode will help you plan your visit.
