Historical Plaques and Perrysburg's First Plaque Party

BK Barefoot and Adam Porth applied for a historical plaque just two days after buying their 1910 Perrysburg home. Their excitement soon spread to their neighbors and inspired a neighborhood "plaque party."

In Episode 158 of The Perrysburg Podcast, I talk with BK, Adam, and Dave Kleeberger, who coordinates the historical plaque program for Historic Perrysburg Inc. Together, we explore how these oval plaques celebrate local history and help neighbors connect.

Dave explains who qualifies for a plaque, how to apply, and how Historic Perrysburg Inc. shares the cost with homeowners. Homes and buildings must be at least 100 years old and located in the City of Perrysburg or Perrysburg Township.
